Decidious trees for Windbreaks: Ashes, Silver Maple, Hackberry, Honeylocusts, and Lilacs.

Fast-growing trees for Shade: Quaking Aspen, Autumn Purple Ash, Red Sunset Maple and Autumn Blaze Maple. Best shade if planted in west, southeast or southwest locations.

bullet Trees for Riparian Buffers (tolerant of wet soil): Ash, Silver Maple, Sunset Red Maple, Honeylocust.
